Peace Dialogue NGO, in collaboration with its partners Une Terre Culturelle association and German-French Youth Office, launches the initiative entitled Journalism without Borders which is aimed at the promotion of youth participation in social-political decision-making process through applying democratic instruments.

As a result of the election held on 1 July 2020, by a simple majority of Coordination Council members’ votes, the representatives of the aforementioned seven organizations were declared to be involved in the Coordination Council’s activities of the implementation of the Action Plan 2020-2022 deriving from the National Strategy on Human Rights Protection.

Peace Dialogue NGO announces a call for cooperation with representatives of civil society organizations in monitoring the RA Ministry of Defense’s (MoD) activities in the scope of the Action Plan 2020-2022 deriving from the RA National Strategy on Protection of Human Rights (HRAP Action Plan 2020-22).

For participating in this initiative entitled Civil Society Support for Democratic Oversight Processes of Human Rights Conditions in the Armenian Army, launched in May 2020, please, fill in the application form attached to this article.

We deem the draft amendment to the State of Emergency Act to be a very serious violation of personal data protection rules, respect for privacy of personal and family life, freedom of communications and privacy rights. Therefore, we demand it be pulled from the Parliament’s agenda. At the same time, we urge the Government to invest all possible resources and efforts to contact persons thought to be infected with the virus and to enforce their isolation. We also ask that it increase medical testing for the population, which is the most effective way to detect new cases of the illness in a timely manner.

Due to the State of Emergency in the Republic of Armenia related to the coronavirus outbreak, the trainings planned for March, April and June have been cancelled. Should we be able to reschedule the trainings in the future, the project team will review and consider all applications we have already received, and we will contact applicants to let them know of their selection for the training program.
