Position Title: Project Manager

Location: Vanadzor, Armenia

Working hours: 40 hours per week

Application deadline: June 30, 2018.

Probation period: one month

Duration: The employment contract will be signed for a period of 6 months with the possibility to prolong it to one year.

Job description:

  • Coordination of the local and regional peacebuilding initiatives and projects of Peace Dialogue NGO;
  • Coordination of the financial management of the Peacebuilding and Gender Department with the organization accountant;
  • Development and implementation of plans and activities directed to the settlement of strategic issues identified by the Department;
  • Organization of workshops, seminars, public discussions, meetings, and other events deriving from the Department strategy;
  • Compilation and submission of financial and program reports on the implemented activities to the President of the organization;
  • Provision of communication between the partners and participants of the programs coordinated by the Peacebuilding and Gender Department;
  • Preparation of public awareness-raising materials and newsletters on implemented activities;
  • Participation in the events organized by other departments of the organization; if necessary, support the employees in the implementation of activities deriving from the organization strategy;
  • Participation in the development of the organization strategic documents;
  • Development and submission of suggestions on the advancement of Peacebuilding and Gender Department and enrollment of volunteers.

Required qualifications:

  • Higher education;
  • At least three years of work experience in project coordination in the NGO sector or international organizations;
  • Organizational skills;
  • Experience of and certificates proving the participation in courses and workshops on project management, conflict management, and Human Rights.
  • Fluency in Armenian and English, oral and written; mastery of Russian will be considered an asset;
  • Culture and gender sensitivity;
  • Team work skills, ability to work in a multicultural team;
  • High computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Adobe Photoshop)
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimum supervision;
  • Willingness to workirregular hours, week-ends, when needed, and  travel to the regions, with overnight paid and fully covered stay-over.
