Dear friends
The website DASARAN.AM, which expands new horizons for schoolchildren and its 1,107,346 users through innovative teaching, launches a new section called “Human Rights in the Military Forces” within the scope of the game “I Know My Rights”. The game section consists of questions and right answer options for them, which makes it possible for future conscripts to acquire basic information on their rights during conscription and military service. By answering the 7 given questions, the students get an opportunity of seeing the right answers and comments for each question, i.e. the reference to the Articles of Law which regulate the particular issues concerned.
We are happy to inform you that the questions for this game section have been developed based on Peace Dialogue NGO’s step-by-step guide for future conscripts called “Human Rights in the Military Forces”.
Besides, in its “Encyclopedia” section, DASARAN.AM added a segment called “My Rights in the Military Forces” based on the same guide, where the students may get acquainted with military service-related regulations, laws, and the rights of conscripts. This information is logically arranged in the frames of an encyclopedia. You may get acquainted with the materials in Armenian under the following link.
The activities mentioned in the article have been implemented in the scope of the project “Promotion of Human Rights Mechanisms among the Future Conscripts in the Armenian Military Forces” of Peace Dialogue NGO. The activities were implemented in partnership with DASARAN.AM.
The project is supported by The Democracy Commission Small Grants program of the Embassy of the United State of America in Armenia.
