The RA Administrative Court, presided over by judge Karen Zarikyan, during the court hearing on April 18, 2017 refused Peace Dialogue NGO’s appeal against the RA MoD which would require the Ministry of Defense to provide official information regarding the fatalities in the RA Armed Forces from 1994-2014 including the full names of the deceased soldiers, the location of the incident, the date, unit number, unit commander’s full name and title, the cause of death and all other unrestricted information.

The OSCE Office in Yerevan (hereafter also referred to as the Office) has been established based on the July 22, 1999 decision of the OSCE Permanent Council and started its operation on February 16, 2000 after the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia ratified the memorandum of understanding signed between OSCE and the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Office is one of the key European institutions in the country.

Today, on August 24, 2016 prominent Armenian human rights defender Michael (Mika) Danielyan passed away.

The training program requires the presence of the participants from 11.00a.m.– 5.00 p.m during which they will carry out individual or group assignments. The participants can bring their own smartphones and computers. However, Peace Dialogue NGO will provide two powerful computers and Internet, which is sufficient to carry out the tasks.

During the three days following the capture of the Patrol Service Regiment in Yerevan on June 17, 2016 an unprecedented number of arrests, detentions, and beatings as well as the obstruction of the free movement of citizens and activists by the police were reported.

As representatives of civil society, we are deeply concerned about the attempts by Russian authorities to prosecute Valentina Cherevatenko, one of the most prominent civil society and public figures in Russia.
