About Peace Dialogue NGO

Peace Dialogue is a non-religious and non-political NGO, established in Armenia in 2009, with a vision to build peaceful and democratic societies where justice and the rule of law prevail.

Our mission is to foster the protection of human rights, promote multi-layered dialogue, and build democracy and democratic institutions in conflict-affected and post-conflict societies, both locally and internationally.

We aim to achieve our vision and mission through various activities and projects, including:

    • Empowering civil society actors in conflict and post-conflict societies by providing them with resources and training to advocate for their rights.
    • Protecting human rights and fundamental freedoms by monitoring, reporting, and advocating against violations and abuses.
    • Promoting transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in decision-making processes to improve civic oversight of state institutions.
    • Advancing gender equality and women’s rights to ensure equal participation in political and civic processes.
    • Supporting civic initiatives that promote peace, democracy, and human rights.
    • Facilitating dialogue and reconciliation processes to build trust between conflicting parties.
    • Encouraging nonviolent and inclusive approaches to conflict resolution and peacebuilding to reduce militaristic, nationalistic, and patriarchal tendencies in societies.
    • Providing legal and psychological support to victims of conflicts and raising awareness about their situation to national and international stakeholders.

We strongly believe that peace, justice, and democracy are interrelated, and sustainable peace can only be achieved through the establishment of democratic institutions that uphold human rights and the rule of law. Through our work, we have built a network of civil society actors, human rights defenders, and peacebuilders who share our vision of a more peaceful and democratic world.
