Edgar Khachatryan
Edgar Khachatryan is a peacebuilder and human rights defender with a long-standing commitment to conflict transformation and civic activism. He founded Peace Dialogue NGO in 2009 and has led the organization as its Director since its establishment. His work focuses on fostering dialogue between conflict-affected communities, promoting democratic reforms, and protecting the rights of vulnerable, conflict-affected groups.
Although he initially earned a Master’s degree in Biology and Chemistry, Edgar later expanded his expertise through additional studies and specialized training in gender, peacebuilding, mediation, and conflict resolution at international institutions across Europe and the United States.
Over the years, he has served as an expert for numerous international organizations engaged in human rights promotion, security sector reform, and democratization.
Anna Pambukhchyan
Anna Pambukhchyan is an experienced professional specializing in democratic governance and peacebuilding.
She has worked with the European Endowment for Democracy, the European Institute of Peace, the International Crisis Group, and the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, with a focus on Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus.
Anna holds master’s degrees from Central European University and the College of Europe.
She is passionate about exploring the interconnection between democracy and peace.
Marianna Khazhakyan
Marianna Khazhakyan is a committed peace and human rights practitioner dedicated to fostering inclusive societies. She has been involved with Peace Dialogue NGO since 2018, initially serving as a Program Officer in the Peacebuilding and Gender Department. In 2025, she was elected as a member of the organization’s Board.
Marianna earned her Bachelor’s degree in Pedagogy with a specialization in English Language and Literature from Vanadzor State University (2012–2016). She participated in the Undergraduate Mobility Program at the University of Porto in Portugal (2014–2015) and later completed a Master’s degree in Philology at Vanadzor State University (2016–2018). In 2023, she completed a graduate-level certificate program in Mediation and Conflict Resolution at the University of San Diego’s Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies.
Beyond her professional work, Marianna is passionate about traveling, music, and architecture. She also maintains a strong interest in pragmatics, lexicology, and cultural models of languages.
Hayk Toroyan
Hayk Toroyan is a regional advisor and coordinator for CMI (Crisis Management Initiative) – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation in the South Caucasus, a position he has held since 2013. Previously, he worked with the Armenian UN Association, the OSCE Office in Yerevan, as well as in the fields of civil society and advertising.
Hayk regularly delivers workshops and lectures for students from the South Caucasus and Eastern Europe on conflict analysis and conflict resolution. He is the author of the Conflict Analysis Manual: “8 Simple Tools to Analyze Difficult Conflicts”, funded by UNDP.
He holds a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in International Relations from Yerevan State University, and a Master’s degree from the Nationalism Studies program at Central European University (Budapest, Hungary). In 2024, he completed the Graduate Certificate Program in Mediation and Conflict Resolution at the University of San Diego’s Joan B. Kroc School of Peace Studies.
Armine Zakaryan
Armine Zakaryan is a feminist-pacifist and historian with a long-standing commitment to peacebuilding and social justice. She has been involved with Peace Dialogue NGO since 2009, initially coordinating peacebuilding programs. In 2019, she was elected as a member of the organization’s Board and was re-elected in 2025.
Armine graduated from Vanadzor State Pedagogical University in 2003. She is actively engaged in Armenia’s peacebuilding, feminist, and environmental movements and advocates for the rights of forcibly displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh. Her areas of interest also include sociology and psychology.
