On March 14, 2024, a roundtable discussion was convened in Yerevan, featuring Dr. Markus Ritter, Head of Mission of the European Union Mission in Armenia (EUMA), his team, and representatives from the Armenian National Platform of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum (EaP CSF ANP). This meeting was initiated by Edgar Khachatryan, president of the Peace Dialogue NGO and national facilitator of the EaP CSF ANP, with the support of the EUMA team.
The Response of Government Agencies to Recommendations Regarding the Protection of the Rights of Repatriated Prisoners of War
Report on the Results of Standardized Perceptions Survey on the Rights of Conscripts – [2022, Armenia]
This survey was conducted in order to identify conscripts’ concerns and needs during their military service and the level of protection of their rights. The main target audience of the survey were conscripts who have already served at least two months of the mandatory period of military service. Since in the Republic of Armenia (RA) the access to current conscripts was not possible, individuals who within the last year completed their mandatory military service were interviewed. Thus, all 100 respondents served in the Armenian Army during 2019-2022.

Peace Dialogue NGO’s Recommendations for RA Government’s Draft Resolution on Implementation of Pre-Conscription Preparation in Educational Institutions
On October 21, 2022, the RA Government’s draft resolution on “Establishing procedure of implementing pre-conscription preparation at public schools, primary (craftsmanship) and secondary vocational education institutions” was published on the joint website of the Ministry of Justice where drafts of legal acts are published.
Peace Dialogue’s Recommendations on the Actions to Include in the 2023-2025 Action Plan Deriving from the National Strategy for Human Rights Protection
In response to the public inquiry on August 30 made by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia to come up with recommendations on the new 2023-2025 Action Plan deriving from the National Strategy for Human Rights Protection, Peace Dialogue NGO presented a package of recommendations consisting of 24 points.
Developing Inclusive Oversight of Security Sector in Armenia
On 1 and 2 June, 2022, the Netherlands-based organization Centre for European Security Studies (CESS) in partnership with Peace Dialogue NGO convened two policy labs discussions in Yerevan on the topic of Democratic Security Sector Oversight. The discussions were organized in the scope of the project Developing Inclusive Oversight of Security Sector (DIOS).
As a first phase of the project, the policy labs discussions were particularly aimed at implementing inclusive and participatory assessment of issues and challenges obstructing the effective democratic oversight of the Security Sector in Armenia.

Peace Dialogue NGO announces its readiness to support protection of conscripts’ rights during 2022 summer conscription for the purpose of avoiding issues raised in the process of ensuring comprehensiveness, completeness, and objectivity of the significant factual circumstances with regard to conscripts’ health condition in the course of 2022 summer conscription.

Working meeting in Geneva: Effective Security Sector Management and Reforms
Edgar Khachatryan, the head of Peace Dialogue NGO, participated in the workshop under the title “Security Sector Governance and Reform: Ensuring effective security sector oversight” which was held on April 25-28, 2022 in Geneva. The event was organized by Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) with the aim to create a platform for key actors of the security sector of the Republic of Armenia to promote democratic and civilian oversight over the sector.
